Signing in is required and doing so allows you to subscribe and sync your 'Bucket List' items to all your devices so you can access your list of places to visit from any device.

Signing up also allows you to access your subscription across devices.
I’m having trouble signing in with my email address.
You may not be able to sign in because you never received the account confirmation email. To resend the account confirmation email, tap on the ‘Need Help’ button from any login screen, and then tap the 'Resend confirmation instructions' button. Follow the instructions in the email to confirm your account.
The link in the confirmation email expires after 15 minutes. If you click the link in your email and it doesn't log you in, please repeat the process and use the link before it's no longer valid.
