What is a Trip Pass?
A Trip Pass unlocks 3 months of access to Lonely Planet’s premium travel content for a one-time payment of US$30. The pass is designed for travelers who want premium recommendations for a specific trip without committing to an annual membership.
Does my Trip Pass automatically renew?
No. Your Trip Pass is a one-time purchase. Your premium access will end at the expiration date shown in your profile.
What happens when my Trip Pass expires?
When your Trip Pass expires, you’ll once again be a free app user. Your account and saved planning information will remain available. You can always purchase an annual membership for year-round premium access, or another Trip Pass for a future trip.
Can I upgrade from a Trip Pass to Lonely Planet Membership?
Yes. You can upgrade to an annual membership at any time in the Lonely Planet app. Your annual membership begins immediately on the date you purchase it, giving you a full year of access from that date. Any remaining time on your Trip Pass is not added to your Annual Membership and is not refundable.
