I’m a Founding Member. What happens to my access?
As a thank-you for being among the earliest users of our app, Founding Members can redeem one complimentary 3-month Trip Pass. You have until November 25, 2026, to redeem your complimentary Trip Pass.
How do I redeem my complimentary Trip Pass?
Eligible Founding Members can redeem their complimentary Trip Pass through the Lonely Planet app or the link included in their email or push notification. Follow the link to the redemption page, where you can activate your complimentary 3-month Trip Pass, or choose instead to purchase a Lonely Planet Membership.
Do I have to pay to redeem my complimentary Trip Pass?
No. Your complimentary Trip Pass gives you 3 months of premium access at no charge. It does not automatically renew at the end of the 3 months.
Can I choose Lonely Planet Membership instead of a complimentary Trip Pass?
Yes. If you’d prefer one year of access, you can purchase a Lonely Planet Membership instead. Membership gives you a full year of access to premium travel content along with additional publishing offers and travel partner benefits.
Will I still be a “Founding Member” after membership launches?
Founding Member status was created to recognize the earliest users of our app. Now that membership has launched, your profile will reflect your current access, whether that’s complimentary Trip Pass access, Lonely Planet Membership, or free access.
